Position Summary
The Vice President, Strategic Growth and Sales leads DataSpring's commercial growth strategy and sales organization, with responsibility for driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding existing client relationships, developing new markets, and building the capabilities required to support the company's long-term growth objectives. This executive oversees enterprise sales, sales enablement, and channel partnerships, and works closely with leaders across Product, Marketing, Client Partnerships, and Revenue Operations to align go-to-market strategy and execution.


The Vice President is accountable for achievement of annual revenue, growth, and client acquisition objectives. The leader identifies and pursues new growth opportunities, shapes commercialization strategies for emerging solutions, strengthens strategic partnerships, and builds a high-performing commercial organization capable of scaling with the business. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational rigor and has a demonstrated track record of translating market opportunities into sustainable growth.


The VP, Stretegic Growth and Sales is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the CGO


Specific Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Leadership

  • Develop and execute a multi-year commercial growth strategy aligned with DataSpring's strategic objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities, customer segments, and growth vectors across the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Partner with executive leadership to shape commercialization strategies for emerging products, solutions, and data assets.
  • Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to inform growth priorities and investment decisions.
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on commercial strategy and growth opportunities.

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Lead the enterprise sales organization and drive achievement of revenue, growth, and client acquisition objectives.
  • Establish sales strategies, coverage models, and performance expectations that support sustainable growth.
  • Provide executive leadership for strategic opportunities, complex negotiations, and key client relationships.
  • Drive disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and sales execution across the commercial organization.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.

Channel Partnerships & Market Expansion

  • With the Director, Channel Partnerships, develop and execute a partnership strategy that expands market reach and accelerates growth.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that create new distribution channels, market access opportunities, and revenue streams.
  • Establish partnership frameworks and success metrics to maximize long-term value.
  • Develop joint go-to-market and co-selling strategies with strategic partners.

Commercial Capability Building & Sales Enablement

  • With the Director, Sales Enablement, lead onboarding, training, coaching, sales methodologies, and performance development programs.
  • Ensure the commercial organization has the tools, content, insights, and capabilities needed to succeed.
  • Establish best practices and repeatable processes that improve sales effectiveness and scalability.
  • Develop future commercial leaders through coaching, mentorship, and succession planning.

Cross-Functional Go-to-Market Leadership

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Client Partnerships, Legal, and Revenue Operations leaders to align commercial strategy and execution.
  • Translate market feedback and customer insights into recommendations for product, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to strengthen demand generation, forecasting, performance visibility, and commercial decision-making.
  • Foster alignment across functions to deliver a consistent and scalable client experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly and indirectly manage a multi-disciplinary sales, partnerships and growth enablement team.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for senior sales leaders and individual contributors.

Skills

  • Proven ability to develop and execute commercial growth strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and market assessment capabilities.
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing commercial teams.
  • Deep expertise in consultative selling, enterprise account management, and healthcare solution sales.
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams across Product, Marketing, Client Partnerships, and Revenue Operations.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and business planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Experience

  • 12+ years of experience selling complex technology, data, or SaaS solutions.
  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success selling into healthcare payers, providers, or adjacent markets.
  • Experience leading commercial transformation within healthcare technology, data, SaaS, or information-services organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
