If so, our corporate services team is searching for an impactful Product Owner to join us taking the next big leap forward responsible for a portfolio of enterprise collaboration, communication, and automation services!
Our Product Owners (PO) are an extended part of the Product Management team and a crucial member of the Agile Team. We the Team / Sprint backlog representing the single source of truth and is the single point of contact for the Dev and Customer team. PO's are responsible for defining and refining user stories and prioritizing backlog to streamline execution of product (program) priorities while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of features for the team. In this capacity the PO remains highly available to the Dev teams during each iteration (sprint) in order to answer real time questions and provide clarity to user stories. The PO also drives user story refinement activities ensuring Team backlog contains 2 iterations worth of 'ready' work for Dev team. These two functions are essential to enabling Dev teams to improve and maintain high velocity / efficiency in iteration (sprint) execution. For this reason, a PO supports a single Agile (Scrum) Team up to a maximum of 2 teams.
Our team plays a meaningful role in quality control and the team member is empowered to accept stories as done, ensuring the acceptance criteria has been met. We have significant relationships and responsibilities outside our specific Agile team, including partnering with Product Management to prepare for Program Increment (PI) Planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Builds, maintains, sequences and prioritizes Agile (Scrum / Sprint) team backlog, with input from customer, Product Manager, System Architect/Engineering and other partners. Typically maintaining 2 iterations (sprints) worth of user stories available and ready in team backlog.
  • Collaborates with Agile team and partners to write user stories and requirements that include acceptance criteria and acceptance tests, typically for 1 or 2 (max) Agile / Scrum teams.
  • Reviews and accepts completed user stories, being accountable and responsible for user story quality and performance in production environment.
  • Coordinates user story, functional, and technical dependencies with other Product Owners throughout each iteration and Program Increment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2+ years of relevant Product Management, Business Analyst, and System Analyst or Architecture/Software Engineer experience in an agile software product development environment.
  • 2 years experience in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools.
  • Technical Writing: Strong requirements elicitation, and validated writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.
  • Agile Project Management: Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.
  • User Experience: Ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories the DevOps teams can ingest.
  • Communication: Proven track record to optimally and efficiently connect with leadership, technical and non-technical audiences while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
  • Business Analytics: Strong analytical skills with a proven record to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data.

    Base Pay Range: $80,900 - $146,000

    Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
