THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Director of Sales will lead Propelus' Employer Growth Team, overseeing revenue growth, sales execution, and team performance across Propelus EverCheck and Propelus Immuware. This leader will play a critical role in Propelus' next phase of growth by strengthening operational rigor, driving consistent commercial execution, and helping establish Propelus as a trusted strategic partner to healthcare organizations and clinical leadership teams.
This is a highly visible leadership role with significant strategic importance to the organization's growth trajectory. The Senior Director of Sales will support Propelus' evolving product and go-to-market strategy, including expansion of data solutions offerings and development of a premium nursing-focused module within EverCheck. The successful candidate is a hands-on, values-driven leader who balances strategic leadership with active coaching, team development, operational accountability, and customer engagement.
What we're actually hiring for: A leader who can effectively design a process focused on outcomes - supporting the team in sharpening their relationship-focused approach into a self-originated pipeline with full pipeline ownership.
Our sellers need to be excellent at proving the value of EverCheck and Immuware as they exist today. That foundation is what lets us introduce a premium nursing module and expanded data offerings without friction.
We have real strengths: durable customer relationships, a differentiated verified data layer, and partnerships that open channels our competitors don't have.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF YOU:
Have converted a demand-responsive team into a demand-creating one, and excel at building systems and processes.
Want to own the sales content requirement, start to finish.
Enjoy being part of rebuilding a commercial engine, not maintaining one.
A tenacious hunter, confidently forging into uncharted territory and a driven, proactive self-starter.
Are energized by leading people with confidence.
Culture matters here, and we're specific about what we mean. We are collaborative, direct, and evidence-driven. We move fast, and we expect people to bring a point of view. We don't confuse activity with progress, and we don't confuse being agreeable with being aligned. This is a high-standards environment with real autonomy attached to real ownership.
THIS MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT IF:
You're looking for a caretaker seat over an inbound funnel. Inbound and installed-base growth matter, but they are not the growth thesis.
You're looking for a purely strategic role. This leader will be in deals, on calls, and in the CRM.
You need enablement, content, and reporting to arrive prebuilt. Parts of that infrastructure don't exist yet, and building it is the job.
You need a fully mapped plan for your first ninety days on day one. Performance decisions, a coverage backlog, and a plan gap are all waiting.
Our values and mission aren't aligned with your personal and professional approach. We are values-driven, collaborative, and focused on long-term, healthy growth rather than win-at-all-costs outcomes. Employees are empowered with autonomy, ownership, and flexibility, creating an environment where high performance and work-life integration coexist.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
The full employer plan: You will carry the complete employer board plan, not the sum of assigned rep quotas. Where seat turnover or hiring lag creates a gap between assigned quota and plan, closing that gap is this role, not a footnote in the forecast.
A team that builds its own pipeline: Move the team from responding to demand to creating it: a per-rep floor on self-originated opportunities, documented territory plans, mapped buying committees, and a coaching model built around outreach quality rather than outreach volume.
This leader owns Propelus' Employer Growth Team across EverCheck and Immuware, including 8 direct reports: territory representatives, an Immuware specialist, and an SMB-focused sales representative.
Territory coverage with no dark accounts: Every named account in every territory carries a current, documented disposition (advance, nurture, or close out), with a dated re-entry point where relevant.
A forecast the board can defend: You will own forecast accuracy as a personal metric, not a reporting exercise: owning the qualification standard with the team, requiring client-confirmed close dates, and driving down the deal methodology failure rate without shrinking the forecast to make it look clean.
Selling materials in sellers' hands: You will own the requirement, not the wish list: specifying what the team needs at each stage, agreeing on dates with Marketing, and escalating when dates slip rather than absorbing the gap, for stage-by-stage selling materials.
Performance resolved, not carried: Two current seats need immediate support and both need a clear, written path with dates. You will make those calls early and stand behind them.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
7+ years of progressive B2B SaaS or healthcare technology sales experience, with demonstrated success leading consultative sales motions across complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles.
3+ years leading quota-carrying teams in complex enterprise environments.
Healthcare fluency: deep understanding of healthcare buying personas, workforce operations, clinical workflows, and multi-stakeholder enterprise sales processes.
Pipeline builder: a demonstrated record of building outbound, seller-originated pipelines inside a team that wasn't doing it before, and the ability to speak in depth to those outcomes.
Enterprise health system seller: proven enterprise selling into hospitals and health systems, with credible command of HRIS and EMR sequencing as a commercial variable, not only as an implementation detail.
Operating cadence builder: experience building a weekly operating cadence from scratch, including deal reviews, pipeline inspection, forecast calls, territory reviews, and one-on-ones, rather than inheriting and running one already in place.
Enablement owner: direct experience specifying and landing stage-based sales content and enablement in partnership with Marketing.
Direct on performance: a track record of addressing underperformance directly and on a timeline, including exiting sellers where required.
Operational command: strong command of forecasting, pipeline management, territory design, and performance management.
Forecast owner: personal ownership of a forecast as a core individual metric, with a quarter-by-quarter accuracy history you can describe and defend.
Business case builder: a solutions background, with the ability to construct internal business cases for hospital leadership.
Process designer: experience designing sales processes for methodical, detail-oriented sellers as well as naturally competitive ones: able to give a structured seller a repeatable prospecting motion, not just energize an aggressive one.
High energy, high pace: visible confidence under pressure. This team will move at the speed of its leader.
PE-ready: comfort operating in a PE-backed environment with board-level visibility and short reporting cycles.
Curious by default: a habit of asking questions and digging in.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD:
Clinical, nursing, nurse informatics, occupational health, or healthcare operations background paired with strong commercial leadership.
Experience with channel, reseller, and co-sell motions, particularly around data and API-delivered products.
Experience launching a new module or adjacent offering into an existing base while the core motion was also being rebuilt.
Experience in a business that carries meaningful revenue concentration in single large deals.
If your experience is close but doesn't fulfill all requirements, please apply. We're building the best team in healthcare and are focused on hiring individuals with unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences to support us in doing good, what’s human, and making a difference.
