Job Summary: Pets Best is a leading pet insurance brand building the future of pet health and financial solutions. Our mission is to end economic euthanasia by ensuring pet parents are financially prepared to care for their pets. The Sr Brand Manager- Marketing supports the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Job Description:

Lead Brand Strategy & Platform Development

  • Co‑lead an agency engagement to develop the full brand platform.
  • Translate the platform into actionable toolkits: messaging matrices, value‑prop frameworks, tone/voice guidelines, copy banks, and creative guardrails.
  • Establish portfolio strategy and naming systems.

Build Insights into the Work

  • Design and interpret qual/quant research; synthesize findings into insights.
  • Develop segmentation and consumer portraits.

Stand Up Brand Governance & Enablement

  • Launch brand governance systems, templates, and guidelines.
  • Create playbooks, training, and internal enablement.
  • Build a brand center of assets.

Elevate Messaging & Creative Strategy

  • Own brand voice and messaging architecture.
  • Write creative briefs and evaluate creative for strategic alignment.

Partner on Product & Portfolio Alignment

  • Collaborate with Product on naming, architecture, and guardrails.

Establish Brand Measurement & Learning

  • Architect brand health tracking and dashboards.
  • Define leading indicators.

Lead Cross‑Functional Influence

  • Facilitate alignment workshops across Product, CX, Sales, HR, and Executives.
  • Partner with Legal & Compliance.

Orchestrate Campaigns & Channel Consistency

  • Translate the brand platform into integrated campaigns.
  • Maintain message consistency across channels.

Build & Lead the Team; Manage Partners

  • Hire and develop a brand team.
  • Manage agencies and creative partners.

Qualifications:

  • 8–10+ years in brand/marketing with brand platform experience.
  • Experience leading brand strategy engagements.
  • Strong messaging and writing capabilities.
  • Governance and enablement experience.
  • Measurement and brand health literacy.
  • Leadership and cross-functional influence.

Experience:

  • 8 year’s professional marketing and/or relevant experience leadership

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)

Level Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develops and interprets policies, procedures, service standards, and workflows to support the consistent application of practices across the functional area and compliance with regulations
  • Develops and implements long-term strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision and goals
  • Serves as the technical business, and analytical liaison with other areas of the organization
  • Provides direction for development changes
  • Maintains project ownership, supports strategic initiatives and is a liaison for projects between departments, other data/information teams and/or external partners

Accountability/Complexity:

  • Typically manages a small- to mid-sized team consisting of experienced professionals.
  • Leads, directs, and reviews the work of a team who exercises latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Focuses on policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less).
  • Provides measurable input to new products, processes and/or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results.
