Job Overview
The Sr Commercial Marketing Manager is a growth leader within the Acquisition, Offers & Growth team, responsible for deploying the Precision Growth Playbook and steering performance to deliver customer, net-add, and revenue outcomes across the prepaid portfolio. This role translates customer, competitive, channel, and financial insights into prioritized growth initiatives, actionable offers, and measurable execution plans.
The role owns the operating rhythm from opportunity identification through launch and performance optimization. It partners across Integrated Marketing, Media & Digital, Product, Channel and Sales Operations, Finance, Consumer Insights, Technology, Program Management, and Care to close value-proposition gaps, improve acquisition and conversion, activate priority customer segments, and rapidly respond to market performance.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, analytical rigor, commercial judgment, and strong cross-functional leadership. They are comfortable working under quarterly pressure, simplifying complex insights for senior leaders, and driving teams from recommendation to execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deploy the Precision Growth Playbook across priority prepaid brands, customer segments, offers, and channels; translate strategic plays into sequenced roadmaps, owners, milestones, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Own performance steering for acquisition and growth, including recurring business reviews, target tracking, variance analysis, root-cause diagnosis, risk identification, and corrective-action plans.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of growth initiatives that balances in-quarter delivery with longer-term value creation; prioritize opportunities based on customer impact, revenue and net-add potential, implementation complexity, and strategic fit.
  • Turn customer, market, competitive, channel, and financial insights into clear commercial recommendations, business cases, and executive decision materials.
  • Identify and close value-proposition gaps across rate plans, features, devices, pricing, fees, multi-line propositions, bundles, and loyalty mechanics to improve acquisition quality and lifetime value.
  • Build segment-led acquisition strategies and offers for priority audiences, tailoring value propositions, messaging, distribution, promotions, and retention hooks to distinct customer needs.
  • Lead test-and-learn plans that define hypotheses, test cells, success measures, readout timing, and scale decisions; institutionalize learnings into future playbook actions.
  • Drive cross-functional execution from concept through launch, ensuring requirements, dependencies, legal and compliance considerations, channel readiness, communications, and measurement plans are aligned.
  • Present concise, data-backed recommendations and performance narratives to senior leadership, surfacing decisions required, trade-offs, risks, and next actions.
  • May lead, coach, or mentor less experienced team members and influence work across matrixed teams without direct authority.
  • Key Outcomes
  • Acquisition, net-add, and revenue commitments are actively steered and delivered in-quarter and in-year.
  • Precision Growth Playbook priorities move from insight to launch with clear accountability and measurable impact.
  • Offers and segment strategies are more differentiated, targeted, and responsive to customer and competitive needs.
  • Retail, digital, media, and channel investments convert more efficiently and produce higher-quality growth.
  • Leadership has a transparent view of performance, risks, trade-offs, and the actions required to close gaps.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related field (Required).
  • Master's degree or advanced degree (Preferred).

Work Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in commercial marketing, growth strategy, acquisition, offers, product marketing, pricing, channel strategy, or business performance management; telecommunications, subscription, retail, digital, or consumer services experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience translating customer and business insights into growth strategies, commercial roadmaps, and executable plans.
  • Experience owning performance management, business reviews, forecasting, KPI development, and corrective-action planning.
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through launch and optimization.
  • Experience building business cases, sizing opportunities, evaluating trade-offs, and presenting recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Experience with test-and-learn, segmentation, offer design, funnel optimization, or omni-channel acquisition (Preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to connect customer needs, competitive dynamics, channel realities, and financial outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; able to synthesize large data sets and ambiguous inputs into clear actions.
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment with shifting conditions and quarterly pressure.
  • Working knowledge of acquisition economics, offer and pricing strategy, conversion funnels, customer lifetime value, and growth measurement.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
