About Highspot

Highspot is pioneering the category that is fundamentally changing the way companies increase sales productivity. On a mission to transform the way millions of people work with sales enablement, Highspot is committed to building breakthrough software with a spark of magic. We believe a great place to work is about more than the work – it’s about what the company stands for, and how it authentically represents its values in the real world. To this end, we have put intentional focus on creating equitable workspaces for each of our employees. Our goal is to create a culture where everyone feels a deep sense of belonging and is empowered to be an agent of change, with the ability to transform themselves, their workplace, and their world.

About the Role

In this role, you will be joining the product team reporting to the VP of Product Management. You will be responsible for our content management capabilities, which are the core of the product. Highspot supports a very wide range of different types of content, drawn from dozens of different systems that customers rely on. We are the industry leader for managing content at very high scale, browsing and searching it, rendering it in many form factors, and sharing it with employees and prospects through rich and immersive experiences. Customers rely on these capabilities, with some of the largest companies in the world spending hundreds of thousands of hours per month using them. Your team is responsible for creating and delivering a world-class and consistent experience to our users across a variety of environments, including the Web, devices, and partner applications like CRM systems.

You’ll join the PM Leadership team and be a key decision-maker in the creation and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for Highspot in general. You will help us build a world-class product team, working very closely with the design and engineering teams. You will help shape and grow not just the product, but also the team and company culture.

What You'll Do

  • Define the strategy for how our content management capabilities continue to evolve, leveraging the rapidly evolving set of AI technologies to deliver the best value to customers.
  • Ensure that we are delivering a consistent and world-class user experience across the Web, devices, native applications, and partner applications. You will be hands-on with the product, knowing its design in detail and the principles that inform it.
  • Lead and grow a team of PM’s, helping them do the best work of their career.
  • Help drive the Product Management practice and culture, both in how we work and the design of the organization.
  • Be directly responsible for shipping features. At Highspot we believe that Details Matter, and everyone in the company (from the CEO down) still stays hands-on with projects.
  • Become an expert on our software, customer, and our market, as well as be able to identify, prioritize and execute on both tactical and strategic projects.
  • Work well cross-functionally with other teams such as executives, product marketing, customer success and make sure their objectives are met, opinions are considered, and plans communicated.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products.
  • Dig deep into customer and usage data to identify opportunities and evaluate the success of our efforts.

Your Background

  • You have been leading product management teams, including hiring, coaching, managing performance, and providing strategic oversight, for 5+ years
  • You have been building software products for some time and have 7+ years of experience shipping brand new products as a PM IC or manager in an agile/scrum/kanban environment.
  • You are passionate about great design, diving deeply into the user experience of the product and being a champion for our users.
  • You are exceptional at taking ideas and ambiguous data, defining the right outcome, and then mapping the right strategy and roadmap to get there.
  • You can communicate and articulate the vision and strategy to execs, team members and customers.
  • This is a technical role; you will be able to work directly with senior engineers and instinctively understand technical concepts and trade-offs.
  • You have worked with engineering teams as a product manager / owner and have demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams to define, execute and iterate on large multi-team, multi-quarter projects.
  • You are a strong communicator and can lead teams through difficult decisions.
  • You have strong data skills in quantitative analytics and qualitative user research.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
