  • Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions, contributing to application architecture, design standards, performance optimization, scalability, maintainability, and security best practices.

  • Apply secure-by-design principles during solution development, identifying and addressing security, privacy, data protection, and compliance considerations early in the software lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with backend teams to validate integrations with internal insurance technology platforms, enterprise services, and third-party partner APIs.

  • Execute and support integration testing activities to ensure end-to-end functionality across mobile applications and dependent systems.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback that improves code quality, maintainability, security, and team knowledge sharing.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, release management processes, and software development best practices.

  • Manage application deployment activities, including preparing, publishing, and maintaining releases within the Google Play Store ecosystem.

  • Monitor application health, performance, and operational metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact customers.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and support root cause analysis, remediation efforts, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Participate in an on-call support rotation, partnering with engineering and operational teams to diagnose and resolve critical production incidents when necessary.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging Android technologies, frameworks, and development practices to improve platform capabilities and developer effectiveness.

This position offers the opportunity to build impactful mobile experiences while working collaboratively across product, design, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions for Trupanion members and partners.
