Responsibilities include partner due diligence, AML/CFT and sanctions screening, licensing and beneficial-ownership reviews, country risk assessments, periodic monitoring, governance reporting, issue escalation, resiliency planning, and team leadership. The role manages the Partner Oversight team, presents risks to senior leadership, participates in partner engagements, and partners with Data and Engineering to improve processes and automate controls.

Leads Remitly’s global transaction monitoring program, owning policy, standards, coverage methodology, scenario strategy, tuning, regulatory change response, and effectiveness assurance. Identifies coverage gaps, manages remediation, oversees model governance, and partners with Compliance, Data Science, Engineering, Product, Operations, and regional teams. Represents the program to regulators, auditors, partner banks, and executives while building a rigorous, scalable monitoring organization.

Leads Remitly’s global financial crime intelligence and strategic investigations function, covering high-risk typologies, detection strategy, complex investigations, law enforcement and FIU engagement, reporting, and governance. Builds a globally distributed specialist team, establishes investigative standards, translates intelligence into durable controls with data science and engineering, and briefs executives, regulators, and law enforcement.

Lead corporate development and strategic partnership initiatives, including acquisitions, investments, and transactions. Build financial models, conduct valuation and due diligence, analyze fintech markets, support negotiations and integration, and provide strategic recommendations to executives and the Board.
