Lead database modernization and migration efforts for legacy Oracle EBS environments into cloud-native, transactional relational databases. Update environment assessments, architecture, and roadmaps; implement designs across development and pre-production; develop migration execution strategies; support cloud-native builds, ZT/ICAM integration, batch and real-time ingestion; provide technical direction, documentation, and training to support DoD/federal modernization and database upgrade activities.

Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, performance, and security test scripts for the GEOMAP platform. Integrate tests into CI/CD using government-approved tools, convert manual tests to automation, perform regression/performance/interoperability testing, maintain traceability and test artifacts, collaborate with Scrum teams, support government third-party testing, and participate in defect triage and root cause analysis.

Serve as a Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer and AWS expert to design, provision, harden, and scale AWS/GovCloud pre-production environments. Ensure compliance with Department, FedRAMP, RMF, IATT-C, and ATO requirements; support protection, detection, monitoring, and response; guide vulnerability assessments; enable CI/CD, IaC, container orchestration, microservices, API integration, and database support; and collaborate on cloud architecture and EA artifacts. Provide DoD/enterprise cloud account administration and support migration and modernization efforts.

Serve as senior SME for migrating MOCAS from Cincom SUPRA hierarchical DB and flat files to a cloud-native relational database. Lead architecture, ERD design, data migration planning/validation, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP), API integration, CI/CD support, and collaboration with architects, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity teams. Present technical decisions in government reviews and support systems engineering, interoperability, and Zero Trust principles.

Analyze complex system requirements and design reusable software tools and subsystems. Oversee implementation, estimate costs/schedules, improve program performance, and supervise software configuration management. Develop and integrate AI/ML models and applications (AWS GovCloud), support DevSecOps/CI-CD, API and integration work, and produce formal specifications and technical documentation.

Lead RMF-based accreditation for test/pre-production AWS environments, prepare IATT-C and ATO packages, implement and validate security controls, support Zero Trust/ICAM integration, liaise on enterprise boundary defense, and provide cybersecurity guidance and documentation to obtain and maintain accreditation.

Create, manage, and research website content to inform and motivate users; oversee editorial activities; validate information accuracy and present data-driven outputs (dashboards, AI/ML results) to end users.

Plan and implement IBM System z/OS communications installations and upgrades using SMP/e and system utilities. Configure and manage communications products (VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, NDM, VPS), JES2 parameters, PARMLIB, and USS filesystems. Diagnose and resolve communications-related abends and system issues, create detailed installation/upgrade documentation, and meet government project timelines and processes. Support debugging, tracing, and software installation activities.

Provide Tier II/Tier III production support for GEOMAP cloud-hosted applications: monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, support releases/CI-CD deployments, maintain runbooks, coordinate across engineering/help desk/government teams, and ensure security/compliance in a DoD environment.

Provide senior database architecture and engineering for cloud-hosted GEOMAP systems: design, optimize, secure, migrate, and sustain relational and non-relational databases; troubleshoot performance and integrity issues; collaborate with cloud, DevSecOps, software, testing, and support teams; develop standards, documentation, and support deployment activities for Air Force geospatial capabilities.
