The Staff Accountant manages accounts payable and receivable, site cash boxes, payroll, and employee time-off requests. The role also supports employee onboarding and offboarding, building access management, and administrative coordination. Success requires strong organization, confidentiality, attention to detail, communication, time management, basic computer skills, and familiarity with clinical research regulations, GCP, ICH guidelines, and medical terminology.

Supports accounting operations in a multi-entity environment, including month-end close, GAAP-compliant journal entries, financial schedules, fixed assets, credit cards, Concur expenses, vendor payments, payroll, reconciliations, government reporting, 1099 reporting, and internal controls. Responds to inquiries, troubleshoots issues, and helps improve finance processes.

Processes multi-state payroll for multiple entities, including timecard review, payroll adjustments, tax forms, benefits-related inquiries, garnishments, PTO, and employee support. Coordinates approvals with HR and management, assists Finance with payroll accruals, prepares analytical reports, and ensures year-end payroll statement accuracy. Requires strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, financial analysis, payroll software, and Microsoft Office. The role is remote and may support company projects as needed.
