Designs building automation controls systems for lower- to mid-level projects, including control drawings, material selection, sequences of operation, submittals, as-builts, and closeout documentation. Reads construction documents and schematics, selects system peripherals, collaborates with project teams, manages assigned budgets and schedules, resolves field issues, and prepares reports. Requires technical controls knowledge, computer-aided design proficiency, communication skills, safety training, and occasional travel to job sites.

Supports design engineers with building automation projects, including control diagrams, manuals, project checkout documentation, basic programming and graphics modifications, hardware application designs, and occasional field commissioning. The intern receives training in ALC design tools, control applications theory, engineering processes, and safety procedures while developing technical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
