Designs and scales data center hardware platforms and automation across DigitalOcean’s infrastructure. Responsibilities include leading hardware design and vendor projects, developing hardware roadmaps, automating configuration and validation, troubleshooting fleet hardware as a Tier 3 escalation, supporting 24/7 on-call operations, improving firmware and hardware automation, collaborating with vendors, and mentoring engineers. Partner with product, sales, engineering, customers, communications, and creative teams to translate technical capabilities into customer value and drive AI revenue. The role requires strong B2B product marketing, technical fluency, AI landscape knowledge, storytelling, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

Own technical go-to-market strategy for AI-native cloud product lines and markets. Develop positioning, messaging, demos, sample applications, technical content, launches, sales enablement, and executive communications. Serve as a public technical voice, measure adoption and commercial impact, monitor the competitive landscape, and mentor product marketers while establishing team standards and repeatable launch frameworks.

Leads global data center design and deployment teams responsible for layouts, rack elevations, cabling, BOMs, installation packages, scheduling, budgets, contractors, commissioning, and operational handoff for AI/GPU infrastructure. Establishes repeatable deployment standards, manages cross-functional coordination, drives defect resolution and process improvements, and develops team talent across concurrent international programs.

Negotiate and advise on datacenter leasing, colocation, design/build, operations and maintenance, and infrastructure procurement agreements. Partner with procurement, engineering, operations, finance, tax, and compliance teams on risk, supplier performance, international expansion, and infrastructure transactions. Develop scalable legal templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and approval matrices while supporting high-priority vendor and operations agreements.

Build automation and internal tools for DigitalOcean’s physical infrastructure using Go, Python, and AI-assisted development. Partner with technical program managers and infrastructure teams to identify and eliminate repetitive manual work, improve hardware and capacity visibility, and support hardware lifecycle engineering. Take automation workflows from discovery through reliable deployment, simplify complex systems, demonstrate work to engineering teams, and contribute to cross-functional infrastructure projects in a hybrid, asynchronous environment.
