Leads a software engineering team building backend services, APIs, and product integrations. Responsibilities include people management, technical direction, architecture reviews, delivery planning, vendor coordination, API and integration standards, testing, observability, security, release readiness, and production support. Leads strategy, roadmap, and execution for Slingshot Aerospace’s core platform. Oversees Product Management, manages product managers, coordinates cross-functional delivery, prioritizes scalable and reliable platform capabilities, and establishes product operating rhythms. Partners with Research, Innovation, Engineering, Design, and leadership while communicating platform performance, progress, and risks. The role also serves as product program lead and requires eligibility for U.S. government security clearance.

Manage cloud security across AWS, Azure, and classified environments. Design secure software development practices, automated CI/CD security pipelines, infrastructure-as-code and compliance-as-code solutions, cloud access controls, observability, and container security for Kubernetes and Helm. Support critical applications, participate in Agile delivery, and communicate security findings to stakeholders. The role requires strong DevSecOps experience, networking knowledge, scripting skills, and an active or attainable TS/SCI clearance.

Conduct AI and machine learning research integrating advanced algorithms with physics-driven modeling and simulation systems. Develop reinforcement learning, multi-agent, generative, computer vision, and hybrid modeling solutions; build prototypes and AI workflows; collaborate across research, engineering, and product teams; support technical publications, presentations, invention disclosures, and patent development.

Designs and maintains scalable AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, Terraform-based IaC, and CI/CD pipelines. Integrates MLOps and DevSecOps practices, automates deployment and system administration, monitors performance and cost, supports incident response, and collaborates with engineering teams to improve platform architecture and reliability.
