Lead technical direction and architecture for full-stack receiver financial products across web, mobile, backend services, APIs, and integrations. Design scalable distributed and event-driven systems, deliver greenfield customer experiences, integrate money-movement and compliance platforms, and embed security, reliability, observability, and regulatory controls. Mentor engineers, lead design and code reviews, and influence technical strategy across teams while using AI throughout the software development lifecycle.

Leads technical direction for Remitly’s Security & Privacy organization while remaining hands-on in software and security engineering. Designs and ships agentic security platforms, automations, and controls across application, infrastructure, identity, privacy, governance, and risk domains. Advises executives and engineering leaders, advances secure design, balances security with business velocity, and mentors engineers. Requires deep expertise in application security, AI development, cloud security, IAM, cryptography, and production-scale software engineering.

Build and own backend product features for Remitly Business, including services, APIs, data models, and durable money-movement workflows. Develop scalable Go systems using Temporal, ensuring idempotency, observability, ledger accuracy, reconciliation, security, and compliance. Partner with Product, Design, Analytics, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Operations to deliver features end to end. Contribute to roadmaps, technical reviews, AI-assisted development, architecture decisions, interviews, and team growth.

Own the strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for Remitly’s global business disbursement program. Lead external partnerships, technical integrations, commercial structures, platform investments, and cross-functional execution across engineering, compliance, and business teams. Define scalable integration frameworks, analyze performance data, prioritize investments, influence senior stakeholders, and apply AI tools to accelerate discovery, decision-making, and program operations.

Architect and scale distributed data systems, real-time and batch pipelines, feature stores, and risk intelligence infrastructure for fraud and machine learning decisioning. Lead technical strategy across streaming, databases, storage, AWS cost optimization, data quality, observability, anomaly detection, and feature lifecycle management. Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and risk leaders while mentoring engineers and driving architectural standards and large-scale initiatives.
